The Toxics in Packaging Clearinghouse and its administrator, the Northeast Waste Management Officials’ Association (NEWMOA), respects the privacy of the visitors to its website. We strongly believes that if electronic commerce and online activities are to flourish, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, TPCH and NEWMOA have implemented the following policy.
About the Information We Collect
Most of the data and information we collect through our website is used only to help TPCH achieve its mission to disseminate information about toxics in packaging requirements and coordinate compliance with state laws. It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that our site users knowingly provide.
We do not collect any personal information from users browsing our website. When you use the public areas of our website you are doing so anonymously. We do collect aggregate use information, such as the number of hits (visits) per page. We use aggregate data for internal and marketing purposes, but we don’t collect any personally identifying information.
If while visiting the TPCH website you sign up for our newsletter or request other information, you will be asked to provide certain information. In all cases this information is submitted voluntarily. In most cases, TPCH will only ask for name, title, organization name, and e-mail address.
Under no circumstances does TPCH sell or distribute contact information. When you visit our website or request information, your name and contact information will not be sold or shared.
In addition, information provided to TPCH is not shared with member states for the purpose of regulatory enforcement. TPCH was established as a clearinghouse for the dissemination of information and assisting regulated entities in compliance with state laws. It has no regulatory authority of its own.
Credit Card Account Information
Organizations considering TPCH membership may choose to submit payment through NEWMOA. NEWMOA utilizes secure transaction methods (SSL) when collecting credit card information over the Internet. NEWMOA does not disclose credit card account information provided by its clients.
How We Use Cookies
Cookies are small bits of code that are sent to your computer when you visit a website. Our site uses cookies to remember your personal preference for font size. We do not use cookies to track your usage or any other personal information about you.
